About the role

Strategy & Operations is the engine that drives the DoorDash business forward. Within this function, the In‑Store team focuses on driving DoorDash customers into partners’ physical stores, boosting sales and building long‑term loyalty across every channel. The role is a hands‑on, ownership‑minded Strategy & Operations Senior Manager responsible for growing DoorDash In‑Store Rewards and card‑linking. It sits at the intersection of Strategy & Operations, Merchant Success, Marketing, and Product, turning ambiguous problems into clear playbooks, designing repeatable growth motions, and enabling internal teams to execute consistently and effectively. The position reports to a Strategy & Operations Director on the In‑Store team.

Responsibilities

  • Invent the future of local commerce.
  • Own new business opportunities from 0‑to‑1 and 1‑to‑100 across GO and card‑linking.
  • Drive “visible from space” impact that takes DoorDash’s in‑store business to new heights.
  • Operate as a hands‑on owner, leveraging AI as a force multiplier.
  • Partner closely with cross‑functional teams and external partners to bring new use cases to market.
  • Identify and solve the highest‑leverage new problems to grow DoorDash’s in‑store presence.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in strategy, operations, consulting, banking, or a high‑growth tech environment — ideally with 0‑to‑1 and 1‑to‑100 experience building a new product, program, or business line.
  • Bias to action and agility — moves quickly and thrives in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving environment; no job is beneath you and you lead from the front.
  • “Breakthrough walls” mentality — pushes the envelope of what’s possible and can figure out a way to make almost anything happen; a playmaker.
  • Clarity of thought and executive communication — creates clarity and focus in complex, ambiguous problem spaces, articulates a clear vision to cross‑functional partners, and can manage up and across senior leaders.
  • Team leadership — track record of building, leading, and developing high‑performing teams; ability to attract, hire, and retain top talent as you scale.
  • Customer and experience orientation — thinks like a consumer and operates like a merchant, balancing customer‑first thinking with partner economics.
  • AI‑native problem solver — early, heavy adopter of AI tools, using them as a force multiplier to create clarity in ambiguous problem spaces.

Pay

The starting base salary falls within the range of $170,000 — $250,000 USD, localized according to work location and market conditions. Compensation also includes opportunities for equity grants.

Benefits

  • 401(k) plan with employer matching.
  • 16 weeks of paid parental leave.
  • Wellness benefits and mental‑health program.
  • Commuter benefits match.
  • Flexible paid time off/vacation (salaried) plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 11 paid holidays.
  • Disability and basic life insurance.
  • Family‑forming assistance.
  • Additional paid sick time accrual for hourly roles (1 hour per 30 hours worked).
