Sr. Manager, In-Store S&O
About the Team
Strategy & Operations is the engine that drives the DoorDash business forward. We lead priority areas for the company, develop strategies, and drive business outcomes through deep problem solving and strong execution. DoorDash embraces and invests in this function because of our belief in an ownership mentality — our employees don’t just design strategy, they bring it to life.
Within Strategy & Operations, the In-Store team focuses on driving DoorDash customers into our partners’ physical stores, boosting sales and building long-term loyalty across every channel. We are bringing new use cases into the DoorDash app, including In-Store Rewards.
About the Role
DoorDash is looking for a hands-on, ownership-minded Strategy & Operations Senior Manager to drive growth of DoorDash In-Store Rewards and card-linking. This role sits at the intersection of Strategy & Operations, Merchant Success, Marketing, and Product. You will turn ambiguous problems into clear playbooks, design repeatable growth motions, and ensure our internal teams are enabled to execute consistently and effectively. You will report to a Strategy & Operations Director within the In-Store team.
Responsibilities
- Invent the future of local commerce.
- Own new business opportunities from 0-to-1 and 1-to-100 across growth operations (GO) and card-linking.
- Drive "visible from space" impact that takes DoorDash's in-store business to new heights.
- Operate as a hands-on owner, leveraging AI as a force multiplier.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to bring new use cases to market.
- Identify and solve the highest-leverage new problems to grow DoorDash's in-store presence.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in strategy, operations, consulting, banking, or a high-growth tech environment — ideally with 0-to-1 and 1-to-100 experience building a new product, program, or business line.
- Bias to action and agility — you move quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. No job is beneath you and you lead from the front.
- "Breakthrough walls" mentality — you push the envelope of what's possible and can figure out a way to make almost anything happen. You're a playmaker.
- Clarity of thought and executive communication — you create clarity and focus in complex, ambiguous problem spaces, articulate a clear vision to cross-functional partners, and can manage up and across DoorDash, going toe to toe with our most senior leaders.
- Team leadership — you have a track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing teams, and the maturity to attract, hire, and retain top talent as you scale.
- Customer and experience orientation — you think like a consumer and operate like a merchant, balancing customer-first thinking with what makes the economics work for our partners.
- AI-native problem solver — you're an early, heavy adopter of AI tools and use them as a force multiplier to create clarity in ambiguous problem spaces.
