At Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in the design, manufacture, and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems, you will help shape the future of aerospace and defense. This role is remote, with up to 25% travel for site support on programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Execute a global people safety strategy across the organization in coordination with operations, engineering, and other stakeholders for key safety programs.
- Lead key safety programs at the global level, which may include machine guarding, robotics, contractor safety management, emergency preparedness, confined space, etc.
- Execute initiatives, programs, reports, and training across multiple EH&S disciplines to achieve and maintain compliance.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to influence the business and drive improved metrics across defined safety goals and project targets.
- Coordinate and collaborate with site EH&S professionals and other functions globally to drive improved safety performance.
- Assist with identifying and implementing projects that utilize data trends to drive improvements.
- Coordinate and participate in the safety cultural transformation of factories through shared collaboration, best practices, and knowledge transfer.
- Stay at the forefront of customers’ goals, new EH&S legislation, and new safety technologies.
- Coordinate data analytics and reporting of safety metrics and data trending.
- Work closely with sites on a global level regarding activities and projects necessary to attain safety goals.
- Provide onsite support as needed by internal customers.
- Mentor safety professionals, cross-train with other safety professionals, and communicate updates to safety training material across the organization.
- Remain current with all regulatory, operational, and technical matters relative to safety management and safety training programs.
- Work collaboratively with the parent organization, RTX, to ensure alignment and direction of various programs and initiatives.
Requirements
- BS degree in Health & Safety or related technical discipline and minimum 10 years overall EH&S experience; or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite products for data analysis, PowerPoint presentations, and reporting.
Pay
The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
