Position Summary
Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (SEA) is a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and is a leader in mobile technologies, consumer electronics, home appliances, enterprise solutions, and networks systems. The role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Role And Responsibilities
- Responsible for sales (major account sales, distribution, product sell-through) to maximize Samsung market position, product penetration, and profitability within Verizon’s dealer and national retail partner channels.
- Directs the use of Samsung resources to achieve assigned sales goals and business objectives, developing and directing the implementation of one or more major account plans.
- Develops account strategies and positioning activities for all accounts while responsible for acquiring and managing customer contracts, product commitments, and purchase orders, promotions, promotional spend, device launches, sales reporting, and weekly calls with internal and external customers.
- Coordinates marketing efforts to drive targets including promotions, incentives, and sales programs.
- Maintains program initiatives, maintenance, agreement contracts & extensions.
- Facilitates the development of co-branding efforts across Samsung, Verizon, and its shared partners.
- Analyzes and tracks ROI and incremental return.
- Facilitates training (internal and external) on program.
- Coordinates the development of program collateral materials.
- Tracks and reports channel and program results (scorecard maintenance and distribution).
- Develops product launch and communication strategies.
- Partners with a broad team of Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Operations to ensure coordinated and integrated communication of program positioning and selling strategies are executed successfully within the direct dealer channel.
- Drives to targets with alignment of quarterly budgets.
Skills And Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a business-related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience.
- 12+ years of experience in telecommunications product sales or marketing leadership experience at a headquarters or national account sales level.
- Experience in developing successful activities that support strategic objectives.
- Proven results in driving and executing creative marketing and sales initiatives.
- Excellent project management skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Highly organized and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with distribution and supply chain management.
- Comfortable dealing with multi-store accounts that require regular store and office visits.

- Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
- Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions
- The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
- Work is generally performed in an office environment.
- Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
- The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.
- Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.
- Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work area.
- Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.
- Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions.
