About the role

May Mobility is transforming cities through autonomous technology to create a safer, greener, more accessible world. We develop and deploy autonomous vehicles powered by our innovative Multi-Policy Decision Making (MPDM) technology. Our vehicles provide value to communities, bridge public transit gaps, and move people safely and efficiently. We’re building the world’s best autonomy system to reimagine transit by minimizing congestion, expanding access, and fostering vibrant, livable spaces.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, product, and commercial growth—responsible for identifying, scoping, and planning expansion opportunities based on market demand, revenue potential, and May Mobility's operational capabilities. You will play a critical role in shaping where and how we grow.

Responsibilities

  • Demand & Expansion Planning
    • Identify and evaluate new geographic and vertical markets based on demand signals, revenue potential, and May Mobility's technical and operational readiness.
    • Build frameworks and models to prioritize expansion opportunities across ridehail, government, and commercial sectors.
    • Translate market intelligence into actionable growth roadmaps aligned with near-term and long-term company strategy.
    • Use tools like Gridwise to gauge market opportunity.
    • Respond to RFPs and write proposals.
  • PUDO (Pick-Up / Drop-Off) Optimization
    • Partner with the Product team to scope, analyze, and refine PUDO strategy across existing and prospective service areas.
    • Analyze ridehail demand patterns to inform PUDO placement, frequency, and operational design.
    • Identify gaps and opportunities in current PUDO infrastructure and recommend improvements that drive ridership and revenue.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Serve as a key analytical resource across stakeholders including the VP of Ridehail, Revenue Director, Government Sector Sales Manager, Technical Program Manager, Product, and Autonomy (Mapping) teams.
    • Synthesize inputs from across the organization to build unified demand and expansion plans.
    • Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Revenue & Market Analysis
    • Develop demand forecasting models incorporating ridership trends, competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and autonomous capability timelines.
    • Quantify revenue potential of expansion markets and help prioritize resource allocation.
    • Track and report on key demand generation metrics and KPIs.
  • Technical & Product Fluency
    • Develop and maintain a working understanding of May Mobility’s autonomous vehicle product, ridehail partner platform integrations, and supporting systems.
    • Serve as a credible translator between technical teams (engineering, product, operations) and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Capture structured product feedback from the field and channel it into the Product and Engineering teams.
  • Cross-Functional Execution
    • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Product, and Account Management to ensure site-level commitments are met.
    • Collaborate with the Account Management team to align site-level performance with broader partner relationships.
  • Issue Resolution & Escalation
    • Serve as the first point of contact for site-level performance issues; triage, prioritize, and drive resolution with a solutions-first mindset.
    • Document patterns in escalations and feed them back into systemic improvements—playbooks, runbooks, and process changes.

Requirements

  • Required
    • 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, market analysis, strategy, or a related analytical role.
    • Strong quantitative skills—comfortable building models, working with large datasets, and turning data into clear recommendations.
    • Experience working cross-functionally across product, sales, and technical teams.
    • Familiarity with mobility, transportation, or autonomous vehicle industries is a strong plus.
    • Knowledge of ridehail operations or PUDO dynamics is highly desirable.
    • Excellent communication skills—ability to distill complex analysis into crisp, executive-ready insights.
    • Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment.
    • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, or data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.).
  • Preferred
    • Experience working with autonomous vehicle technology and/or real-world deployments.
    • Experience within transportation, mobility, ridehail, or Transportation Network Companies (TNCs).
    • Familiarity with ridehail or platform-based partner ecosystems.
    • Demonstrated use of AI assistants (e.g., Claude) for recurring workflows, automation, or analysis at scale.

Skills

  • Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving—able to break ambiguous, multi-variable problems into testable parts.
  • Learning agility—able to pick up new technical and product concepts quickly and put them to use.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders without losing focus.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and making sound decisions with incomplete information.
  • Bias to action and high personal ownership over outcomes.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive healthcare suite including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans. Domestic partners who have been residing together at least one year are also eligible.
  • Health Savings and Flexible Spending Healthcare and Dependent Care Accounts available.
  • Rich retirement benefits, including an immediately vested employer safe harbor match.
