A Senior Training Manager in the Banking Operations department plays a pivotal role in shaping an organization's talent landscape. Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and development of engaging and effective learning experiences, applying principles of adult learning and various instructional design models.
- Manage project teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, regular progress updates, and comprehensive project reports.
- Select and apply appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) based on the type of L&D projects.
- Create detailed project plans, define clear project goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements for L&D initiatives.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project timelines and outcomes are not impacted negatively.
- Design and implement coaching and mentoring programs to foster individual and team growth, and provide personal coaching to guide and develop team members and other leaders.
- Act as an internal consultant to diagnose performance problems and recommend appropriate learning and non-learning solutions to improve individual and organizational performance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in applied knowledge of principles of how adults learn and overseeing the design and development of engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Experience with various instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM), learning modalities (e-learning, instructor-led training, blended learning), and project management frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall).
- Advanced technical skills in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (Articulate, Workday Learning, SharePoint).
- Experience in defining clear project goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements for L&D initiatives, creating detailed project plans, and gaining stakeholder alignment.
- Proactive risk identification and mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines and outcomes.
- 3+ years of experience in instructional content design, curriculum development, measurement, and reporting.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, prioritizing, sequencing, and executing on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with emphasis on root/cause analysis and process improvement application.
- Experience delivering training on processes supported within the brokerage/financial services industry.
- Effective facilitation of training sessions and delivery of compelling presentations to diverse audiences, from new hires to senior executives.
- Familiarity with Project management tools and AI tools and agents, Power Automate/Power Apps, Microsoft Planner, Copilot, etc.
Preferred
- Extensive experience delivering training on processes supported within the brokerage/financial services industry.
- The ability to effectively facilitate training sessions and deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences, from new hires to senior executives.
- Familiarity with Project management tools and AI tools and agents, Power Automate/Power Apps, Microsoft Planner, Copilot, etc.
