About the Opportunity

The Sr. Manager, AI Software Engineering leads and scales AI engineering teams responsible for delivering production-grade AI systems and customer-facing AI capabilities. This role translates AI strategy into reliable, scalable software and platform outcomes, working closely with cross-functional leaders to implement high-impact AI initiatives with quality and operational rigor. The position contributes to building AI-powered product capabilities and supporting infrastructure to advance the organization's cybersecurity solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow AI engineering teams delivering production AI capabilities and platform services
  • Drive execution of strategic AI initiatives including customer-facing features and internal AI platforms
  • Collaborate with Product Management and engineering leaders to define technical plans and milestones
  • Establish engineering management practices covering planning, execution, quality, and incident response
  • Mentor engineering managers and senior contributors to foster accountability and innovation
  • Define and enforce best practices for AI system development, MLOps, reliability, security, and performance
  • Support architecture and design for scalable, low-latency, highly available AI systems
  • Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent across AI, software, and platform domains
  • Enhance collaboration among globally distributed teams to ensure effective delivery
  • Participate in organization design, capacity planning, and alignment with AI and P&T goals
  • Balance innovation with reliability while promoting execution discipline, technical quality, and cross-functional collaboration

Requirements

  • Eight or more years in software or machine learning engineering or related technical fields
  • Three or more years managing engineering teams, including managing managers or senior engineers
  • Proven experience delivering production-grade software, AI, or data products at scale
  • Strong technical expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native services, and modern engineering practices
  • Experience building or operating AI/ML systems including model integration, deployment, and lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with MLOps and AI product delivery platform capabilities
  • Strong understanding of engineering quality, security, observability, and operational excellence
  • Ability to partner effectively with Product, Design, Security, Data, and Infrastructure teams
  • Excellent communication skills and experience aligning senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success in hiring and developing high-performing engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in AI-powered cybersecurity products
  • Experience with large-scale event processing
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD
