Sr Key Account Manager
About the role
The Senior Key Account Manager (KAM) is a salesperson responsible for meeting sales quotas and expense budgets for assigned clients by managing sales programs, promotional spending, distribution levels, shelf placement, and strategic planning initiatives. Clients are manufacturers, vendors, or brands contracted with Advantage as their sales force, while customers are retailers, wholesalers, or distributors to whom we sell our clients’ brands.
This role involves collaborating with clients to develop strategic plans to accomplish business goals and working with retailer associates (such as buyers, category managers, and replenishment managers) on headquarters calls to implement programs. The role may involve servicing one or multiple clients, including Pioneering clients (manufacturers without current distribution), Regional clients (manufacturers retained on a regional or customer-specific basis), or Tier 3 clients (manufacturers with minimal volume, SKU counts, and commission revenue).
