Our client in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a long-term contract role.
Responsibilities
- Independently define and manage scope and schedule of large, complex projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Develop plans and resources (internal/external) for higher-risk, high-impact, or multi-disciplinary projects.
- Prioritize projects impacting multiple disciplines or groups.
- Act as a servant leader by proactively addressing team needs to enable focus on high-value work.
- Provide vendor management expertise, including reviewing RFPs, contracts, and vendor selection.
- Manage demand planning with the Demand Planning group and guide others on the process.
- Oversee project budgets for large, complex projects; review and approve invoices.
- Ensure quality of high-risk projects using Waterfall methodology (e.g., coordinating meetings, tracking budgets, following up on action items).
- Anticipate risks, perform risk analysis, and prepare mitigation plans.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and enhancing PMO processes, tools, and automation.
- Resolve logistical, cultural, or administrative barriers to maintain team velocity and engagement.
- Shield the team from external interference to maximize productivity.
- Actively manage change control issues as they arise.
- Prepare stakeholders for project delivery, ensuring transparency and clear communication of business value.
- Facilitate recurring status meetings with stakeholders, including Digital Project Managers, Supervisors, and Directors.
Requirements
- 10+ years of project management experience.
- Experience with HR projects is a major bonus.
- Bachelor’s degree required; PMP certification not required.

Pay
$65–73 per hour.
Schedule
9 AM to 5 PM.
