Sr. Hydro Technician

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate hydrostatic testing equipment
  • Evaluate the structural integrity of pipelines, tanks, and pressure vessels
  • Prepare test systems by cleaning, sealing, and filling with water or other approved test mediums
  • Monitor pressure gauges, record readings, and identify any leaks or weaknesses during testing
  • Interpret test results and prepare detailed reports for engineering and quality teams
  • Follow strict safety protocols and environmental regulations during all testing activities
  • Collaborate with field crews, welders, and inspectors to ensure seamless testing operations
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in hydrostatic or pressure testing, preferably in oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial settings
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and test procedures
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with pumps, valves, and pressure systems
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying outdoor conditions
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail under high-pressure situations
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed
