Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operate hydrostatic testing equipment
- Evaluate the structural integrity of pipelines, tanks, and pressure vessels
- Prepare test systems by cleaning, sealing, and filling with water or other approved test mediums
- Monitor pressure gauges, record readings, and identify any leaks or weaknesses during testing
- Interpret test results and prepare detailed reports for engineering and quality teams
- Follow strict safety protocols and environmental regulations during all testing activities
- Collaborate with field crews, welders, and inspectors to ensure seamless testing operations
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in hydrostatic or pressure testing, preferably in oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial settings
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and test procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with pumps, valves, and pressure systems
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying outdoor conditions
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail under high-pressure situations
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed
