Sr. HR Risk & Compliance Mgr, Timehub, Time & Pay Innovation
About the role
The Timehub, Pay and Innovation Risk & Compliance team manages global programs that include inventorying, assessing, and monitoring important working time and employment-related risks where Amazon does business. As a Sr. HR Risk & Compliance Manager, you will work with HR policy, process, and system owners to manage complex time and attendance requirements, controls, and risk issues. This includes researching legal and regulatory obligations with local labor and employment attorneys, translating these obligations into system or process requirements, monitoring control effectiveness, and leading remediation plans to mitigate risk.

Responsibilities
- Partner with employment legal and HR policy, process, and system owners to ensure sound protocols are in place to mitigate pay, time, and attendance-related risks.
- Monitor known and emerging risks, measure internal control effectiveness, and develop action items to remediate identified risk issues.
- Develop deep knowledge of Amazon’s pay and time and attendance solutions, and consult on business requirements for new system implementations and enhancements.
- Draft written narratives to communicate obligations, risk analyses, and recommendations to HR policy, process, and system owners and senior stakeholders.
- Conduct on-site and risk control assessments, draft reports detailing methodology, results, and remediation plans.
- Consult on supporting documentation such as manager and employee communications, FAQs, and standard operating processes.
- Respond to questions and troubleshoot issues.
- Manage other HR risk and compliance-related projects as needs arise.
- Able to travel 10%, as necessary.
Requirements
- 6+ years of compliance, audit, or risk management experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles/Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements.
- Master’s degree or equivalent.
- Knowledge of human resources processes and risk/compliance management concepts, particularly in an international context.
Pay
Base salary ranges:
- USA, TX, Dallas: $121,200.00 - $163,900.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $121,200.00 - $163,900.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Bellevue: $121,200.00 - $163,900.00 USD annually
