Sr Manager, Wage & Hour Compliance and Risk

For our client, a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Senior Manager of Wage & Hour Compliance and Risk to join their team. This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations, strengthening responsible execution, improving decision-making, and supporting sustainable growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: McLean, VA – US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Define scope and priorities for role assessments with stakeholders
• Oversee fact-finding processes for role assessments
• Document classification results against FLSA criteria
• Lead classification projects responsive to technological changes
• Analyze effectiveness of classification methodologies and recommend compliance strategies
• Collaborate with legal counsel to communicate role classifications
• Lead cross-functional governance on compliance accountability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
• 6+ years in Compensation, Human Resources, Wage & Hour Law, or Compliance
• Experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or both
• Deep understanding of FLSA exemption criteria and local wage laws
• Exceptional executive presence and experience with senior leadership

Pay

$200,700 – $229,100 annually
