Sr. Geophysicist QI

Activities

• Generate and validate the definition of prospectivity and resources in target contexts.
• Contribute to basin synthesis and the generation/maturation of prospects and clearly define all the uncertainties.
• Validate the data (well and/or seismic) used for the study/synthesis.
• Perform and validate the interpretation of well and/or seismic data, including quantitative interpretation for reservoir and fluid characterisation.
• Ensure that results are accurate.
• Define, coordinate, and integrate all the qualitative and quantitative results of specialty studies.
• Prepare and monitor drilling operations.
• Carry out/validate well result post-mortems, updating results and databases.
• Guarantee the capitalization of regional knowledge.

Requirements

• Experience: 10+ years’ experience in geophysics and interpretation of subsurface data.
• Education: Master's degree or higher in Geophysics, Geology, or a related field with a focus on geophysics.
• Skills: Strong understanding of the Exploration disciplines and related competencies. Expertise in geophysical software and tools. Seismic interpretation. Quantitative seismic interpretation (AVO and rock physics assessments). Knowledge of data processing. Modeling expertise. Analytical skills sufficient to analyze complex data sets. Strong communication skills.
