About the role
The Senior Functional Analyst – Oracle Idea to Market (PLM) will lead the end-to-end implementation and ongoing management of Oracle Idea to Market (PLM) initiatives, collaborating across functions such as O2C, S2P, R2R, and H2R. This role is responsible for the full delivery of systems solutions, including requirements gathering, fit-gap assessment, solution design, configurations, business process flow setups, implementation, cutover, validation, and operational maintenance of PLM modules and custom extensions. The role ensures tight alignment between Oracle Fusion and business processes while serving as the primary PLM subject matter expert. The position will coordinate with development teams and SI partners to deliver a stable, scalable, and user-friendly Oracle solution, driving measurable value for the organization. Additionally, the role will lead the product roadmap in alignment with business vision, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure the success of Oracle Fusion initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end system solutions across the PLM track and related custom extensions/apps.
- Define business process cycles, cross-module interfaces, and integrations.
- Build system solutions using CEMLI (Configurations, Extensions, Modifications, Localizations, and Integrations).
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand systems and processes, establishing a continuous engagement cadence.
- Lead workshops, interviews, and surveys with diverse stakeholders.
- Coordinate with business and functional stakeholders for planning, UAT execution, system validation, and production deployments.
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements using standard Oracle functionality or functional solutions.
- Govern operational enhancements, wish lists, and backlog management.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows (Visio/Lucid), configuration documents (BR100, MD50, TE40), and training materials.
- Document and analyze "as-is" and "to-be" business process flows.
- Follow SDLC/Agile methodologies, creating and tracking user stories from initiation to closure, including test scenarios.
- Enforce data governance policies and ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
- Oversee platform administration, optimization, stability, and operational maintenance.
- Manage licenses, monitor system health, standardize processes, and ensure platform scalability.
- Continuously enhance platform performance and user experience through proactive improvements.
- Assess platform releases and ensure timely upgrades, including intermediate patch sets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (required).
- Experience with Oracle Fusion implementations in the Manufacturing vertical, including at least two full-cycle implementations (preferred) and at least one covering the PLM process area (required).
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle ERP applications/implementation, with a strong understanding of platform functionality, cross-functional integrations, and process cycles (required).
- 3+ years of experience specifically with the Oracle Fusion platform, including functional and technical capabilities (preferred; if no Fusion experience, EBS R12 is required).
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations certification (preferred).
Skills
- Advanced, hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion implementation, development, and maintenance.
- Advanced, hands-on experience in techno-functional configurations, including but not limited to:
- System configurations and workflows.
- Concept creation, scoring, and feasibility analysis.
- Product classifications, item structures, and templates.
- Item publishing, attribute groups, and costing prototypes.
- Cost rollup, quality test plans, and pricing setups.
- Customer product mapping and order enablement.
- BOM management, ECO workflows, and revision controls.
- Approval rules (BPM) and cross-functional integrations with PPM, R&D, Sourcing, and Finance.
- Oracle system administration and functional responsibilities.
- Deep functional knowledge of the Idea to Market (PLM) process, including ground-up configuration of Oracle modules such as:
- Oracle Product Development and Product Hub.
- Quality Management and Innovation Management.
- Oracle Procurement, Cost Management, and Sourcing.
- Supply Chain Planning, Order Management, and Pricing.
- In-depth knowledge of data models for PLM process cycles, reporting, and analytics, including OTBI, BI Publisher, and FBDI.
- Knowledge of Oracle platform development tools (e.g., PL/SQL, VBCS, Postman, Redwood UI).
- Understanding of data mapping and transformation for data conversions and migrations from legacy Oracle and non-Oracle systems into Fusion Cloud.
- Proficiency in creating SDLC-related documentation, including:
- Requirement and design documents.
- System reference manuals and Agile user stories.
- Confluence documents and use case scenarios.
- System validation scripts and process flows.
- Business cycle visualization and UI/UX documentation.
- Configuration and setup masters.
- Knowledge of methodologies like OUM, AIM, and SDLC practices, with adaptability to hybrid delivery models.
- Demonstrated success in delivering full-lifecycle Fusion projects from requirements gathering through deployment and post-go-live optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Agile, SAFe, or modern delivery frameworks, including project management tools like Jira.
- Ability to assess and pilot Oracle Fusion platform innovations, recommending adoption to meet evolving business needs.
- Familiarity with localizations to address region-specific requirements and compliance.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration with consultants, SI partners, and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with business leads and technical teams, aligning solutions with business objectives.
- Proven ability to influence and drive consensus toward successful solution delivery.
