Sr. Full stack Java Developer – Remote | W2

Responsibilities

• Build high-performance, highly available, and scalable distributed systems and services to power commerce experiences
• Develop and maintain APIs and batch processing systems that handle large volumes of data across relational and NoSQL data stores
• Work effectively in an environment with evolving requirements, adapting quickly to new information while taking ownership from ideation through delivery
• Collaborate through a mix of pair programming (40–60%), small-group design, and independent development; contribute to code reviews and shared system ownership
• Develop services using Java, Spring, REST, HTTP, JSON, and related technologies while leveraging modern tools (e.g., GitHub, GitHub Actions)

Requirements

• 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• 3 years of relevant Enterprise Software Engineering experience at scale
• 3 years of development experience with Java, Spring, REST web services and similar technologies

Qualifications

• 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience
• 4 years of development experience with Java, Spring, REST web services and similar technologies
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., CockroachDB, Cassandra)
• Knowledge of modern deployment practices, CI/CD, and GitHub Actions
• Aptitude to solve complex problems and make pragmatic tradeoffs in a fast-moving, evolving environment
• Experience building web UI using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React) or working on MCP-style applications
• Experience with batch processing, data pipelines, or large-scale data movement
• Familiarity with networking, security, and infrastructure concepts (e.g., load balancers, DNS, firewalls)
