Sr. Full-Stack Developer -Angular/Java (Remote)

Our team is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Angular/Java Developer to support the VA T4NG Consolidated Corporate Support Services (CCSS) program serving Department of Veterans Affairs Corporate Portfolio clients across the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
• Design graphical user interface (GUI) to meet the specific needs of users.
• Prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• Build add-on modules using application program language.
• Provide guidance and best practices for successful AngularJS upgrades and/or modernizations.
• Design, develop, and test new features in VA-provided applications.
• Responsible for regular communication with colleagues involved in all development processes.
• Perform analysis, implement, test, and troubleshoot bug-fixes.
• Responsibility for design and implementation of software projects using JAVA, C#, and the most current Angular framework.
• Determine user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• Design and develop autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Develop Java-based applications, APIs, and backend services (Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices).
• Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs and develop solutions to mitigate issues.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Document development processes and codebase structures.
• Ensure software standards are met.
• Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
• Receive assignments in the form of objectives and establish goals to meet outlined objectives.
• Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
• Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy, and accuracy.
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Contribute to completion of milestones associated with specific projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience (or commensurate experience).
• Angular - minimum 18 months (preferably 2+ years).
• Strong proficiency in Java and core OOP concepts (minimum 4 years).
• Basic HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript 5.x, TypeScript 4.x, Bootstrap 5.x, jQuery 3.6.x.
• MS SQL Server (ability to write stored procedures, understand SQL, create tables, and manage DBs).
• Visual Studio knowledge/experience (versions 2019 - 2022).
• Git, Windows, Azure, C#.

Clearance

Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Pay

USD $110,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 per year.
