Full Stack Angular Java Developer (Local Only)

About the role
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Angular Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade applications. In this role, you will work across the entire software development lifecycle, utilizing modern Java and Angular frameworks. You will collaborate closely with product design and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, while mentoring junior staff and driving best practices within an Agile environment.
This will be a 5-day onsite job and an in-person interview is required.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust front-end and back-end components using Angular (9+), Java, and Spring Boot.
- Design and develop database components using PostgreSQL and Oracle.
- Partner with product design, architecture, and engineering teams to define requirements, and provide technical mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies (daily scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives) and utilize modern collaboration tools.
Requirements
- Master's with 3-6 years, Bachelor's 8+ years, or 13+ years of relevant experience.
- 10+ years of modern software development experience with a strong track record of designing, building, deploying, and running enterprise applications.
- 8+ years of experience working within an Agile development team.
- Proven expertise in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular 9+, and REST API development.
- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Twelve-Factor Application Design principles, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and microservices architecture.
- Extensive experience with J2EE, JPA, JDBC, and building RESTful/SOAP APIs.
- Strong UI development capabilities using Angular (9+), HTML/JavaScript, CSS, React.js, YUI, and/or jQuery.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Kafka messaging, and Tableau reporting integration.
- Practical knowledge of Usability and Section 508 compliance standards.
- Experience working with Git, Bitbucket, Agility, Jira, and Confluence.
Skills
- Experience working in a DevOps environment utilizing Jenkins, Splunk, Nexus, Maven, OpenShift, and AWS (specifically S3).
- Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using JUnit, Mocking frameworks, Selenium, or Cucumber.
- Comfort working within Linux environments and familiarity with mainframe integration (JZOS, Mainframe JCL).
- Hands-on experience with XML, XSLT Transformation, JAXB, Apache FOP, and iText.
- Experience with multithreaded applications, Spring Batch, and Java performance monitoring tools (e.g., VisualVM, Eclipse Profiler).
