About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software components, interfaces, APIs, and scripts. You will enhance and build customer-facing search and availability features using Angular and Java, delivering scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions for high-volume production environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and document high-quality software components, interfaces, APIs, and scripts.
- Enhance and build customer-facing search and availability features using Angular and Java.
- Develop reusable components and libraries for use across multiple teams and products.
- Deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions for high-volume, production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, business, engineering, and vendors to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop and deliver system integrations and resolve complex integration challenges.
- Participate in data mapping to ensure accurate and reliable data exchange between systems.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and lead corrective actions for system issues.
- Anticipate and address scalability, latency, resiliency, and durability issues.
- Identify and reduce technical debt while supporting new initiatives.
- Incorporate security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Optimize system design to support frequent, safe, incremental releases.
- Identify and create reusable solutions to eliminate duplication of effort.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers, fostering technical excellence.
- Evaluate and prototype emerging technologies as needed.
- Apply systems-thinking to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions.
Requirements
- Advanced hands-on experience with Angular (Angular 17+, ideally Angular 20).
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience developing backend services with Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with REST APIs (GraphQL is a plus).
- Automated testing experience (Playwright, JUnit, Postman).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with GitHub or similar source control tools.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based environments.
- Ability to optimize for performance, reliability, and simplicity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce documentation and technical diagrams.
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-volume consumer websites, search, or availability systems.
- Track record of delivering integrations across multiple engineering teams.
- Experience in data mapping and interface design.
- Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or IBM).
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Personal interest in software development (personal projects, open source, experimentation).
