Java and Angular Full Stack Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a senior full stack Java developer to support growing business needs for model analytics for the company's mortgage portfolio. The full stack developer will work closely with business partners to deliver a web application for our Finance division, playing a meaningful role in driving activities to deliver the solution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and optimize application performance
• Write clear and concise code documentation
• Participate in Agile and Scrum development methodologies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• 4+ years of Java software development experience
• Strong understanding of Java language, Java 8+ standard library, and open sources
• Good understanding and experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and REST APIs
• Familiarity with databases and SQL
• Experience with Angular front-end framework and Typescript (highly desirable)
• Familiarity with Gradle and Jenkins build tools
• Ability to understand and write code documentation
• Experience with version control (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket)
• Knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping frameworks (a plus)
• Understanding of application performance diagnostics and analytical tools
• Knowledge of automated test frameworks (e.g., Junit, Mockito)
• Experience with AI Assisted Automatic Testing suit development (a plus)

Location: McLean, VA (full onsite)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60 - $80 per hour

Work Hours: 9am to 5pm

Education: Bachelor's degree required
