About the role
As a member of the external reporting team, you will primarily support the preparation of SEC filings and provide technical accounting support across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare external reports (10-K, 10-Q, 11-K, 8-K, S-D) in compliance with SEC requirements.
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, IR, Tax, Treasury, IA, and other teams to gather and validate reporting data.
- Support preparation and review of quarterly earnings materials with Investor Relations.
- Maintain and execute internal controls over financial reporting.
- Aid in external audit coordination, including quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Assist with enhancements to financial systems to improve reporting accuracy and compliance.
Technical Accounting & Policy
- Provide guidance on U.S. GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements (SEC, FASB).
- Research, document, and support accounting for complex transactions.
- Monitor new accounting standards, assess impact, and assist with implementation.
- Develop and maintain company-wide accounting policies and procedures.
ESG Reporting
- Assist with ESG regulatory filings, including data collection, content development, and assurance support.
- Partner with ESG leadership and stakeholders to establish and standardize reporting processes and controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- Active CPA certification required (or actively pursuing).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience required, with public accounting and/or SEC reporting experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial accounting concepts; familiarity with ESG or sustainability reporting frameworks is a plus.
- Understanding of PCAOB standards, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), COSO frameworks, and internal control concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams; experience with XBRL and SEC EDGAR filing systems is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across a matrixed organization.

Pay
The starting pay range for Minnesota is $80,000 to $111,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
