Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Analyzes monthly financial results through financial models to identify drivers and explain key variances.
- Maintains accuracy of financial statements by monitoring general ledger journal entries during the closing process.
- Supports departmental financial analysis by reviewing ad hoc reports that compare departmental financial results against budgets and forecasts.
- Provides financial insights to senior management through executive-level presentations and reports.
- Assists junior Financial Analysts with complex financial issues requiring advanced knowledge and experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years of prior experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, or public accounting.
- Experience supporting external audits and working with auditors.
- Solid understanding of internal controls and SOX requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience preparing executive-level presentations (PowerPoint or similar).
- Previous experience with an enterprise reporting tool - Workiva is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a regulated environment.
