Sr Financial Analyst

About the role

Chewy seeks a highly motivated, analytical, and confident Senior Financial Analyst – Supply Chain Finance to join our Supply Chain Finance Team at our Plantation, FL headquarters. This role combines finance expertise, strong practical knowledge of financial statements, and data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Aid in weekly and monthly financial reporting, identifying and defining key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance.
• Coordinate the month-end close process and manage/track financial performance against KPIs.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders in Transportation and Supply Chain to lead financial review and forecasting processes (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual), identifying planning assumptions, tracking performance, explaining variances, and identifying risks and opportunities.
• Propose analysis influencing business partners and finance leaders to drive positive changes in the business.
• Extract and analyze data from central databases using Hyperion, SQL, and Tableau.
• Challenge current processes to find efficiency improvements while maintaining data integrity.
• Perform modeling and analytics to synthesize large datasets and produce concise outputs for leadership recommendations.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, including experience with key performance indicators, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Comfort in dealing with ambiguity.
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP/Index Match, SUMIFS, pivot tables).
• Ability to think creatively, self-start, work independently, and meet tight deadlines while prioritizing changing workloads.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to distill and convey complex information clearly and succinctly.
• Results-oriented, highly energetic, and dynamic with a hands-on mentality.
• Ability to drill down to details while understanding the big picture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in supply chain or logistics finance.
• Basic understanding of GAAP and strong grasp of financial statements.
• Experience with Tableau, Hyperion SmartView, or Oracle ERP.
• Familiarity with an e-commerce or retail business model.
• MBA and/or CPA.
