About the Role
Collins Aerospace is seeking a Radio Field Service Technician to support our Commercial Aviation and Network Services Division. In this role, you will install, maintain, test, adjust, and repair communication equipment such as radio and antenna systems, ensuring the operational viability of critical air/ground voice and data networks.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, test, adjust, and repair radio and antenna systems and related communication equipment.
- Utilize test equipment to perform proper installation or repair.
- Interact with customers, vendors, and contractors independently and professionally in support of maintenance and installation activities.
- Provide on-the-job training.
- Provide 24/7 support, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Travel up to 50%.
- Obtain an FCC General Radiotelephone Operator's License (GROL) within 6 months of hire.
- Obtain and maintain SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) badging, including Security Threat Assessment (STA), fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC), and SIDA training.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and climb towers and stepped poles up to 50 feet in height.
- Assist in Facilities and EH&S tasks.
Qualifications
You Must Have
- High School diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D. in the U.S.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
- Completion of a course in Practical Electronics at a technical school, junior college, or equivalent, or a minimum of two years of Practical Electronics experience.
We Prefer
- Active FCC General Radiotelephone Operator's License (GROL).
- Experience in fault isolation, restoration, and adjustment of communications equipment.
- Experience analyzing system failures and identifying/rectifying equipment malfunctions.
- Experience performing testing, repair, and replacement at the component and board level.
- Prior experience reading and following technical manuals/instructions and basic knowledge of schematics and drawings.

Pay
The starting salary for this role is $25–31 per hour.
