About the role
At nVent, you'll help keep our New Berlin facility running smoothly by overseeing maintenance activities across our distribution center and office space. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll guide a skilled maintenance team, drive reliability improvements, support safety initiatives, and help create an efficient, well-maintained workplace.
What You'll Experience In This Position
- Lead and support the maintenance team, helping prioritize work, solve problems, and keep equipment running reliably.
- Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and keep operations moving.
- Oversee maintenance and repairs for distribution center equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, conveyors, and other critical equipment.
- Help maintain a safe, secure facility, including building access systems, alarms, and cameras.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts by improving maintenance schedules, managing spare parts inventory, and helping technicians grow their skills.
- Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Use PLC data and system information to help diagnose equipment issues.
- Manage and improve the CMMS system to track work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment history.
- Coordinate maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, lighting, alarm systems, offices, and common areas.
- Work with outside vendors and contractors to ensure quality service and cost-effective solutions.
- Lead site safety efforts, including supporting the Safety Committee and helping ensure compliance with EH&S and OSHA requirements.
You Have
- 3+ years of maintenance, facilities, or industrial maintenance experience.
- Previous experience leading, supervising, or coordinating maintenance teams is preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment and facility systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and basic computer applications.
- Forklift certification or operating experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of EH&S requirements, OSHA regulations, and safe work practices.
- Someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and finding ways to make things run better.
