About the Role

As a CBRE Facilities Sr. Manager, you will lead many functions of building operations and maintenance for a portfolio of Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical GMP/GXP buildings. The scope includes about 500K SQ FT of facility space with hard and soft services. Travel will be up to 30% and you must reside in DFW, TX and be commutable to Irving, TX client site to work onsite about 3 days a week when not traveling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, including tracking training and development, conducting performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Oversee recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Coordinate and develop the team’s daily activities, including setting work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines; mentor and coach as needed.
  • Coordinate and lead facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Prepare and run large and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Perform facility inspections and quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing procedures.
  • Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Influence others to adopt different points of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
  • Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 5–8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Facility Management certification preferred.
  • Prefer FM operations leadership experience in Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical GMP/GXP environments.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
