About The Role
As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for providing oversight of building operations and maintenance for a Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical campus in King of Prussia, PA. This is a fully onsite role Monday-Friday.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
- Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
- Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
- Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
- Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures.
- Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
- Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You’ll Need
- Knowledge of all building systems, but will not be doing the work.
- An accounting and financial background is strongly preferred.
- A white-glove service mentality is essential, as the client is high touch, high demand, and high visibility.
- A project management or facilities management background is required.
- A strong maintenance background is preferred, along with soft skills.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- A facility management certification is preferred.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- The ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems is required.
- Leadership skills to motivate teams and impact quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department are essential.
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset are required.
- Advanced math skills are necessary, including the ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
