As our Facilities Senior Manager, you will strategically manage all aspects of building operations and maintenance for a premier Life Sciences R&D Pharmaceutical campus in Cambridge, MA. You will support both hard and soft services, with a majority of the scope focusing on HVAC, Mechanical & Electrical.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, including tracking training and development, conducting performance evaluations, and mentoring.
  • Oversee the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Coordinate and develop the team's daily activities, including setting work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines, and mentor/coach as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Prepare and run large and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Perform facility inspections and quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Develop vendor relationships and coordinate invoicing procedures.
  • Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Influence others to adopt different points of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
  • Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Facility Management certification preferred.
  • Must hold some Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical and/or R&D regulated industry facilities management experience.
  • Experience in leadership, staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Pay

The compensation range is about $150,000 to $160,000 annual base salary plus a 15% target bonus based on experience. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
