Sr Facilities Manager- Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical onsite in Cambridge, MA

As our Facilities Senior Manager, you will strategically manage all aspects of building operations and maintenance for a premier Life Sciences R&D Pharmaceutical campus in Cambridge, MA. You will support both hard and soft services, with a majority of the scope focusing on HVAC, Mechanical & Electrical.
Responsibilities
- Provide formal supervision to employees, including tracking training and development, conducting performance evaluations, and mentoring.
- Oversee the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
- Coordinate and develop the team's daily activities, including setting work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
- Set and track staff and department deadlines, and mentor/coach as needed.
- Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
- Prepare and run large and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
- Perform facility inspections and quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations.
- Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
- Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
- Develop vendor relationships and coordinate invoicing procedures.
- Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Influence others to adopt different points of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
- Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
- Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
- Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Facility Management certification preferred.
- Must hold some Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical and/or R&D regulated industry facilities management experience.
- Experience in leadership, staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Pay
The compensation range is about $150,000 to $160,000 annual base salary plus a 15% target bonus based on experience. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
