About the role

The Sr. Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor at CTDI is responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of the Branch Environmental, Health and Safety Program. This includes investigating EHS incidents, conducting monthly Facility Safety Audits, and ensuring compliance with various regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead all aspects of the Branch Environmental, Health and Safety Program.
  • Investigate EHS incidents and supervise regulatory investigation / inspection and enforcement actions.
  • Conduct monthly Facility Safety Audit and lead monthly Safety Team Meeting.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA/DOT/EPA/Federal and State specific regulations at Branch.
  • Perform focused safety audits of compliance processes, determine gaps, identify corrective action options, champion preferred options and implement gap closure actions.
  • Serve as supervisor for all safety and environmental related incidents to include property loss, near misses, first aid incidents, OSHA recordable incidents and lost time incidents.
  • Support management and operations teams on new initiatives from a safety and training perspective.
  • Aid in the development and coaching of employees and other trainers on Environmental, Health and Safety matters.
  • Maintain accurate OSHA and Environmental sustainability recordkeeping for branch.
  • Regularly review safety incidents to discover trends and uncover ways to foster safe incident free working environment.
  • Knowledge of proper PPE, Forklift safety, Lockout/Tag out, Injury illness prevention, HAZCOM & SDS, and Ergonomic assessments.
  • Understanding of and experience with behavior-based safety principles.
  • Ability to perform a Root Cause Analysis / 5WHY Analysis and train others to the findings to eliminate future risk.
  • Lead sustainability initiatives at the branch.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by Branch Leadership.
  • Ability to perform risk assessments and determine plausible corrective actions.
  • Ability to lead risk reduction initiatives.
  • Analyze data trends & performance to ensure that the right priorities are identified and acted upon.

Qualifications/Required Experiences

  • Ability to supervise EHS programs and people.
  • Excellent oral and written communications, including speaking/presenting before large audiences.
  • Self-motivated, high performer.

  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
  • Handle multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Two+ years safety supervisory experience in a light manufacturing facility, warehousing or logistics environment supervising and implementing EHS programs.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office.
