Responsibilities
- Performs testing assignments and provides guidance to newer engineers/technicians on preventive and corrective maintenance on supervisory automation equipment.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the current distribution system design and develops new test equipment, tools, and designs.
- Conducts basic hands-on acceptance and in-service testing of transmission and distribution equipment.
- Restores malfunctioning transmission and distribution equipment under emergency conditions.
- Completes required paperwork and provides on-the-job and formal classroom training.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of technical experience or 5 years of technical experience with an associate's degree, or 7 years of technical experience or relevant education.
- Successful completion of the TECH Test.
- Demonstrated ability to direct crews during maintenance or commissioning of equipment or systems.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Frequent travel to various company substations or other locations within the service territory.
- Valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Broad knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices.
- Knowledge of complex field test equipment.
- Relevant education/experience in a military role, project management, journey-level electrician or gas technician, field operations, or other utility related experience.
Skills
- Ability to work independently on complex issues and large projects.
- Ability to evaluate and develop new test equipment and systems.
- Ability to conduct hands-on acceptance and in-service testing of equipment.
- Ability to restore malfunctioning equipment under emergency conditions.
- Ability to complete required paperwork and provide training.

- Annual salary ranging from $88,000.00/Yr. to $121,000.00/Yr.
- Annual bonus for eligible positions at 7%.
