Sr. Employee Relations Advisor (San Diego)
Job Summary
This Sr. Employee Relations Advisor will be supporting our San Diego region, and must be able to be in office in San Diego 3 days per week. The Sr. Employee Relations Advisor provides strategic, consultative employee relations (ER) support to leaders and employees, partnering across Human Resources, Labor Relations, Legal, and operational leadership to resolve complex workplace issues. Leads or supports high-risk investigations, advises on performance management and corrective action, ensures consistent application of policies and employment law, and contributes to enterprise AR strategy, training, and process improvement.
Experience Required
- Minimum five (5) years of professional level Human Resources Business Partner or Generalist experience or in lieu of five (5) years of experience, must demonstrate strong strategic and business skills and have successfully contributed towards or implemented new strategies beyond assigned client groups, across the enterprise.
- Five (5) – seven (7) years of professional level Human Resources Generalist experience.
- Prefer two (2) years’ healthcare experience.
Education Required
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in human resources or similar.
Training Required
- Experience in professional development and training a plus.
- Current in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to human resources and employee management, including worker’s compensation and federal and state employment laws.
Special Skill Required
- Able to draft, update and monitor HR policies, procedures and reporting to be in compliance with employment laws and regulations;
- Ability to establish metrics and compliance standards to be aligned with emerging compliance trends and employment best practices.
- Demonstrated strong critical thinking skills, decision-making and proven relationship skills.
- Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others;
- Provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure;
- Lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate;
- Accept direction.
Pay Range
Pay Range: Minimum $99,819 Midpoint $132,288 Maximum $164,736
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
