Sr Dispatcher (Manheim)

About the role

Facilitates the transport of customer vehicles to and from auction sites and other areas.

Responsibilities

• Contacting customers to determine vehicle availability and condition
• Scheduling vehicle pick-up and delivery with customers and transporters
• Aiding with reconciliation of transporter related issues
• Notifying customer account representatives and transporter of vehicle transportation related issues
• Monitoring and reporting on customer and transporter performance
• Compiling vehicle transportation related data and generating routine reports
• Following job related duties as directed by supervisor
• Cooking and maintaining positive working relationships with network carriers
• Tracking shipment / delivery information, resolving problems as they arise; problems may include missing vehicles, damaged vehicles, and late arriving vehicles
• Escalating complex or difficult to solve issues according to established escalation procedures
• Proactively locating new carriers to join the Cox network
• Auditing carrier performance over time, identifying systemic issues and working with carrier representatives to resolve
• Addressing customer and other transport issues escalated from team members, customers, carrier representatives or other stakeholders
• Communicating and collaborating with internal partners to solve problems and ensure customers' needs are met
• Providing advice and coaching for less experienced team members
• Clearly communicating broader organizational objectives and the team's role/impact
• Assists with other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 3 years' experience OR 7 years' experience in a related field
• Preferred: Previous auto transportation/logistics experience strongly preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to make decisions
• Customer service skills
• Strong problem solving and innovative thinking skills
• De-escalation skills are required and flawless follow-up abilities are a must
• Comprehensive knowledge of regulations impacting daily operations (DOT - national and state)

Pay

USD 22.02 - 33.08 per hour

Schedule

This is a hybrid position with 1 day per week in-office required. Applicants must live within 50 miles driving distance of a Manheim facility.
