About the role

The Sr. Director, Product Management (Construction Technology - DEWALT) will set the vision and strategic direction for the DEWALT Construction Technology product portfolio, overseeing a talented team of product leaders across AI, IoT, and software solutions. This executive role is responsible for driving innovation, ensuring strong cross-functional collaboration, and delivering best-in-class products that meet the evolving needs of the construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a compelling product vision and multi-year strategy for DEWALT Construction Technology, aligning with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Lead the development and execution of the product portfolio roadmap, balancing investments across AI, IoT, and software solutions.
  • Identify and prioritize new market opportunities, emerging technologies, and customer pain points to drive innovation and competitive differentiation.
  • Partner with Engineering, UX/UI, Data Science, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver high-impact solutions on time and within budget.
  • Champion the voice of the customer, ensuring customer insights inform product decisions and go-to-market strategies.
  • Drive alignment across business units and functions, influencing stakeholders and executive leadership to support product initiatives.
  • Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle management for a portfolio spanning AI-powered analytics, IoT-enabled devices, and cloud-based software platforms.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success, using data-driven insights to inform decisions and course-correct as needed.
  • Stay at the forefront of construction technology trends, AI/ML advancements, IoT innovations, and software best practices.
  • Represent DEWALT Construction Technology at industry events, conferences, and with key customers and partners as a thought leader.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of directors and their respective teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in product management, with significant leadership roles overseeing complex portfolios in technology-driven industries (construction technology, IoT, SaaS, robotics, or related fields preferred).
  • Proven success leading and scaling product teams, with direct management of Group/Product Managers.
  • Deep expertise in AI/ML, IoT, and cloud-based software products, with a track record of delivering successful solutions to market.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, business acumen, and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience with commercialization of new technologies and go-to-market strategies.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $115,800.00 - $199,800.00

Schedule

This position is based in our Tools & Outdoor headquarters in Towson, Maryland, though remote locations will be considered.
