About the Role

This individual will provide leadership and strategic direction to BioAnalytical Services, overseeing systems, operations, and science. They will drive strategic governance and leadership for global Project Management and Client Engagement functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering integrated services that accelerate scientific innovation and sustainable growth. The role involves partnering across the enterprise to develop and champion the BioAnalytical vision, ensuring client satisfaction and operational excellence throughout the drug development pathway.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global vision for integrating BioAnalytical Services into a comprehensive drug development product offering.
  • Ensure annual quality, scientific, and/or client service targets are achieved in the appropriate business segment.
  • Formulate, develop, and implement plans, policies, and procedures in alignment with department and corporate guidelines.
  • Justify and allocate resources (personnel, space, and equipment) to meet financial and budget expectations.
  • Develop operational and scientific strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and innovation.
  • Oversee development and renovation programs in collaboration with department staff and facilities personnel, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Initiate and implement employee development programs to enhance scientific capabilities and operational excellence.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and manage employee performance, career development, and expectations within the department.
  • Foster a stimulating and rewarding work environment while effectively addressing performance concerns.
  • Ensure the scientific objectivity, credibility, and expertise of the department in all research and operational activities.
  • Enforce department safety programs in coordination with the environmental, health, and safety department.
  • Enhance employee communication and support recruitment and staff retention efforts.
  • Provide strategic governance and leadership for global Project Management and Client Engagement functions.
  • Drive the successful execution of strategy, organizational structure, and standardized processes to enable high-impact collaboration and trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver integrated services and innovative solutions that accelerate scientific innovation, support sustainable growth, and achieve financial objectives.
  • Own and drive execution of Project Management and Client Engagement strategy to ensure BioAnalytical teams deliver a cohesive, integrated service model with exceptional satisfaction and delivery.
  • Strategically align project management capacity, resourcing, and infrastructure to meet organizational priorities and proactively support current and future portfolio demands.
  • Develop and champion the BioAnalytical vision, partnering across the enterprise to drive sustainable growth and align with strategic objectives.
  • Provide direction for staff responsible for the delivery of BioAnalytical services, ensuring client satisfaction on multidisciplinary projects throughout the drug development pathway.
  • Collaborate with scientific and operational peers to ensure alignment with the BioAnalytical Strategy and work cross-functionally to develop and implement impactful solutions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Immunology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of supervisory and people management experience, preferably in an operational leadership role.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated leadership of client-facing, medium-to-large laboratory organizations, with full accountability for enterprise collaboration, project management governance, operational excellence, and sustained financial performance.
  • Skilled in running meetings and projects, time management, planning, and operational/process excellence.
  • Expert-level communication skills.
  • Skilled in project and portfolio management, managing change, and creating cohesive, engaged project management teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of independent management skills and ability to implement department and company directives.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated leadership experience, including motivating teams and delivering exceptional results.
  • 6+ years of documented accomplishments reflecting teamwork, integrity, and accountability.
  • 6+ years of demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality results in a growing organization.

Schedule

Monday-Friday / Remote (with willingness to travel onsite as needed).

Pay

$165,000 - $208,000 (for Remote). All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
