Sr. Director, People Business Partner
About the role
This role serves as a senior strategic partner to leaders across our GTM organization. It's crucial for scaling the business, strengthening leadership effectiveness, and building high-performing teams while ensuring operational discipline and strong employee experience foundations.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with the People team and their respective leadership teams to design and implement value-led talent strategies that help achieve business goals.
- Align HR initiatives with business priorities, ensuring a high-performance and inclusive culture.
- Organize workforce planning, talent strategy, and change initiatives to support HighLevel’s rapid scaling.
- Implement solutions for organizational transformation, ensuring agility and adaptability.
- Champion AI-enabled ways of working across the organization, helping leaders rethink team design, workflows, productivity, and role effectiveness in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Act as a champion for company culture, employee engagement, and leadership effectiveness.
- Develop and drive initiatives that improve retention, performance, and career growth.
- Coach leaders and managers, providing strategic guidance on performance management, succession planning, and team effectiveness.
- Design talent programs that accelerate employee growth and leadership development.
- Leverage people analytics to identify trends and drive informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR best practices across all operational regions.
- Lead and manage complex employee relations matters with sound judgment, balancing business needs, employee experience, and organizational risk.
- Partner with Legal and leadership teams on sensitive investigations, performance concerns, escalations, policy interpretation, and organizational actions.
- Build leadership capability in handling feedback, accountability, performance rigor, and difficult conversations effectively.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive HRBP or HR generalist experience, including significant experience partnering with senior GTM leaders in high-growth technology organizations, with exposure to globally distributed teams and hands-on experience supporting organizations across both India and the United States.
- A thought leader with deep, strategic expertise across various HR disciplines, including workforce planning, organization design, career management, leadership coaching, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations matters, organizational change, and leadership escalations with sound judgment and maturity.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives that drive business success.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions that align with business goals.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced remote first global environment, managing multiple stakeholders and projects concurrently.
- Demonstrated success in partnering with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with senior leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to help leaders navigate evolving ways of working, including the adoption of AI-enabled tools and more efficient operating models.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring leadership at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven track record of successful HRBP or HR generalist roles in high-growth tech companies.
- Experience in leading large-scale organizational transformations and change management initiatives.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience in using data analytics to inform HR decisions.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
$247,000 - $312,000 annually. (Bonus Pay included)
