About the role

The Sr. Director, Operations leads Oracle engagements as an operations manager, focusing on implementation strategies, approaches, and timelines to ensure high-quality deliveries in technical engagements. This role supports all sales activities, including demos, presentations, RFP pricing, and responses through the SOW development process. The Sr. Director, Operations also handles problem analysis, escalates and resolves client engagements, and collaborates across the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality of all delivery for all oversight engagements.
  • Develop implementation strategies, approaches, and timelines.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with project sponsors, steering committee members, and C-Level executives.
  • Contribute to Mythics' ongoing methodology improvements and delivery capabilities.
  • Forecast and staff all project engagements.
  • Support all sales activities including demo presentations and support, RFP pricing, and responses through SOW development.
  • Prepare the team for client engagements.
  • Aid in assigned practice performance management processes.
  • Engage in periodic engagement status reporting to Managing Director.
  • Resolve/solve issues and gaps where the project team needs assistance.
  • Escalate any project issues or risks to PMO and Managing Director.
  • Stay current with evolving Oracle products and technology.
  • Work in close cooperation with other areas of the organization.
  • Handle all other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience, required.
  • 16 years of work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience implementing Oracle applications (Implementations, Upgrades, or Support).
  • 8+ years in consulting services and 5+ public sector clients.
  • Experienced with the increased importance of Change Management for Oracle cloud implementations.
  • Experience collaborating with clients on business process reengineering across all pillars.

Skills & Abilities

  • Willing to travel up to 30% to client sites nationwide as needed.
  • Excellent team building, mentoring, and leadership abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to work with clients and present to directors and/or C-level executives.
  • Ability to multi-task, focused on planning and organization.
  • Experienced in multiple implementation methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Great customer management skills.
  • Ability to lead multiple cross-project collaborations/discussions.
  • In-depth knowledge of project planning methodologies and software development life cycles.
  • Proposal approach, scoping, and pricing.
  • Consulting experience in the implementation lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Effective written and verbal communications a must.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a project team.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical abilities.
  • Willing to learn a range of business or technical specialties based on business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
