Remote-first opportunity

Remote-first opportunity for US-based employees, with the option to work in person out of the Manhattan office. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

What You'll Bring To The Team

  • Education and training: Bachelor's degree in economics, data science, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field required. Advanced degree preferred. Professional certifications such as CFE, CAMS, CFCS, FRM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Experience: 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in fraud, financial crimes, risk operations, payments, fintech, banking, or related disciplines. 8+ years leading large-scale fraud strategy and operational organizations. Experience leading in organizations of 200+ employees. Demonstrated experience implementing machine learning, AI, advanced analytics, and automated decisioning capabilities. Proven success leading transformational change initiatives. Experience working closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and machine learning teams.
  • Leadership: An inspiring and transformational executive capable of creating a compelling vision and aligning teams around strategic priorities. Serves as the principal advisor to senior leadership on Fraud & Abuse strategy, emerging risks, and operational performance. Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing organizations. Strong executive presence with the ability to influence executive leadership and effectively present fraud strategy, operational performance, and emerging risks to board stakeholders. Operates as an enterprise leader first and a functional leader second.
  • Skills and expertise: Deep expertise in fraud strategy, fraud operations, investigations, fraud analytics, and operational risk management. Strong understanding of modern data platforms, machine learning applications, AI capabilities, and decisioning systems. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Strong business acumen, balancing risk, customer experience, operational efficiency, and growth.
  • Mindset: Obsessed with leveraging data, analytics, and emerging technologies to solve complex fraud challenges. Strategic thinker capable of balancing long-term transformation with near-term execution. Passionate about building teams and future leaders.

Pay and Benefits

The actual base salary will be determined by various individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location, internal equity, as well as other objective business considerations. The annual base pay range for this position is $220,000 - $270,000. This range reflects Zip's US national compensation (USN). Additional premium percentages may apply based on Zip's tiered premium strategy. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
