Sr Desktop Engineer
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to provide technical support and maintain the organization's technology environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, supporting end users, managing IT assets, and ensuring systems remain secure and operational. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level technical support for Windows and macOS users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, peripheral, and network-related issues.
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups within Active Directory.
- Collapse employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including account creation, access provisioning, and equipment assignments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, systems, and support activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve technical issues and implement technology improvements.
Qualifications
- Required: 3+ years of hands-on IT support experience, or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Practical experience administering Active Directory user accounts and group policies.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts and general network troubleshooting.
- Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- CompTIA A+ Certification.
- Experience supporting users in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with endpoint security solutions, patch management tools, and backup technologies.
- Experience working with IT service management (ITSM) or help desk ticketing systems.
