Sr. Culture, Engagement & Belonging Manager
About the role
The Sr. Culture, Engagement & Belonging Manager is responsible for advancing HCA’s culture, belonging, engagement, and employee experience strategies. This role provides enterprise-level program leadership and subject-matter expertise to support the activation of HCA’s Cultural Framework, strengthen leadership capability, foster an inclusive and high-performing workplace, and enhance employee engagement and belonging.
Responsibilities
- Drive the activation and ongoing sustainment of HCA's Cultural framework, ensuring alignment with the organization's Purpose, Vision, Values, and leadership expectations.
- Develop and implement culture initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, belonging, accountability, and organizational effectiveness.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to integrate desired cultural behaviors into leadership practices, talent programs, communications, and business routines.
- Analyze employee feedback, engagement data, and organizational insights to assess culture health and recommend actions that support continuous improvement.
- Provide subject-matter expertise, tools, and facilitation support to help leaders reinforce culture priorities across teams and business functions.
- Partner with HR, business leaders, and employee groups to integrate inclusion and belonging principles into leadership practices, talent initiatives, employee programs, and day-to-day business operations.
- Lead employee listening and engagement efforts, including surveys, focus groups, action planning, and analysis of workforce insights.
- Translate employee feedback and engagement data into practical recommendations that improve culture, retention, belonging, and organizational effectiveness.
- Develop and manage community engagement and volunteer initiatives that reflect HCA's values, culture objectives, and employee experience priorities.
- Coordinate company-sponsored community service initiatives, employee giving efforts, and related communications in partnership with appropriate stakeholders.
- Create opportunities for employees and leaders to strengthen connections to HCA's purpose through community involvement.
- Track, measure, and report on participation, impact, and effectiveness of community engagement initiatives to inform future planning and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in employee experience, culture, organizational development, employee engagement, inclusion and belonging, leadership development, or a related HR discipline.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise or cross-functional programs that improve culture, engagement, employee experience, leadership effectiveness, or inclusion outcomes.
- Experience advising and influencing HR, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders through data-driven recommendations, facilitation, and program execution.
- Experience designing, implementing, and measuring employee programs, engagement initiatives, or organizational effectiveness solutions in a complex business environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or a related field.
- Advanced degree or certification in organizational development, change management, coaching, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, or employee experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of culture activation, employee engagement, employee listening, organizational development, leadership development, and inclusion/belonging practices.
- Ability to translate enterprise strategy and workforce insights into scalable programs, tools, recommendations, and action plans.
- Strong consultative and facilitation skills with the ability to influence leaders and stakeholders without direct authority.
- Demonstrated ability to use data, feedback, and external best practices to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for executive, leader, and employee audiences.
- Strong project and program management skills, including the ability to manage multiple enterprise initiatives, timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables.
- Ability to build trusted partnerships across HR, business functions, employee groups, and external partners.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive employee, leadership, and organizational information.
