About the role
The Sr. CPQ Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in understanding and translating business needs into technical solutions, specifically focusing on the configuration-price-quote (CPQ) capabilities across different regions. This position involves working within an Agile (Scaled Agile Framework) environment, collaborating closely with both business and IT stakeholders, and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Elicit, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into user stories and functional specifications.
- Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, align priorities, and drive decisions.
- Analyze CPQ data and processes to identify gaps and improvement areas, providing recommendations aligned with BD’s long-term Revenue Technology strategy.
- Systematize legacy and offline contract or quoting processes into a standardized model.
- Define “what good looks like” with deep business intimacy, ensuring solutions reflect the real needs of the quote-to-contract process.
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical delivery teams (IT/TDS and vendor partners).
- Develop reporting and dashboards that support business needs and measure Revenue Technology Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (any preference in type or major).
- 5+ years of combined experience as a business analyst supporting CPQ or quote-to-cash systems.
- Experience systematizing new business processes, efficiencies, and business improvements.
- Agile certified; strong experience in the Scaled Agile (SAFe) development framework.
- Experience interacting with both “business” and “technical” partners.
- Experience spanning multiple technology platforms and willingness to become proficient over and above the required specialty (e.g., Oracle CPQ, Conga/Apttus CLM, Bids & Tenders).
- Ability to drive organizational change by influencing others without authority.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-directed, with the ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels.
Qualifications
- Minimum required skills as outlined above.
- Preferred knowledge and skills include Oracle and/or Conga/ Salesforce CPQ platform certification.
