Sr. Contracts Specialist

Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. SBIR designs and manufactures advanced Infrared (IR) and Electro-Optical (E-O) test instrumentation, supporting military and commercial sensor systems worldwide.

About the role

The Sr. Contracts Specialist will administer customer contracts, review and negotiate terms and conditions, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for both government and commercial contracts.

Responsibilities

• Contract management and administration of government and commercial contracts, including execution, preparation, modification requests, and compliance.
• Review and negotiate customer terms and conditions for acceptability and compliance.
• Negotiate, prepare, execute, and administer legal agreements such as Bail Agreements.
• Manage assigned government contracts, including CPFF, FAR flow-downs, and regulatory compliance.
• Handle government billings and portals; administer and report small business plans.
• Support import/export compliance initiatives.
• Assist Program Management with contract deliverables and schedule adherence.
• Maintain current certifications required for commercial and government quotes and contracts.
• Review and recommend credit approvals for customers using Credit Safe.
• Act as lead for contract administrators in the supervisor’s absence.
• Support the redesign of the contracts process to improve efficiency, including design, implementation, and metric tracking.
• Ensure all assigned contracts are processed expeditiously.

Pay

$100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year (DOE).

Schedule

Full-time, on-site, Monday through Friday (8/10 preferred).
