Sr. Content Marketing Manager
About the Role
This is a full-time hybrid / mostly remote role for a Sr. Content Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will lead content strategy, creation, and distribution across various digital platforms to drive brand awareness and engagement. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and analytics, to ensure the delivery of cohesive and impactful campaigns.
The Senior Content Marketing Manager will serve as the full-time community manager for 2-4 brands, monitoring all social properties, creating unique, engaging content, and participating on social media on behalf of the brands. This includes reviewing and preparing content and coordinating production deadlines for social media marketing efforts.
Additionally, the candidate will support client brands by working with Account Directors on day-to-day campaign activities, including client support requests, email blasts, mailers, blogger outreach programs, light PR, and budgetary allocations for tactical components.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads, sales, and customer retention.
- Collaborate across functions and silos to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet business objectives.
- Adopt a brand publisher mindset: create the content the audience is looking for and optimize the path to conversion.
- Handle editorial requirements including basic SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution, and measurement.
- Develop editorial governance to ensure content is consistent with brand voice, style, and tone.
- Develop and manage editorial calendars and organization workflows.
- Manage digital content hubs and all supporting social channels, including email/newsletter distribution, with an understanding of best practices for each platform.
- Regularly measure and optimize the program.
- Integrate content programs with brand campaigns to drive brand-to-demand.
- Prepare executive presentations on program approaches and results.
- Lead the development of agency and clients’ social media management standards, policies, and rules of engagement.
- Define key performance indicators and implement enterprise-level measurement, analytics, and reporting methods.
- Mentor and train communication and management professionals on best practices for creating, managing, monitoring, and developing content for social networks.
- Work with client brands to explore and identify ways to integrate social media into business strategies and marketing campaigns.
- Apply marketing research to learn and communicate emerging trends and technologies.
- Social Media Community Management: interact with social media posts, create daily content for Instagram Story and Pinterest, reply to comments and tagged content, handle customer service inquiries, source/vet/schedule influencers, and collect/organize UGC.
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and end-of-year slide decks (data analytics, screenshots, etc.).
- Manage blogging/blogger outreach programs.
- Manage direct reports: Sr. Content Marketing Social Media Specialist and/or other members of the Social Media team/social media interns.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 5 years of experience in advertising, communications, marketing, or public relations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of graphic design best practices and principles for both print and web projects.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Aptitude to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of ethical search engine optimization techniques.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities and strong interpersonal skills.
- Extremely strong communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience with the business applications of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, and more.
- Experience with online monitoring and measurement platforms such as Meta Insights, TikTok Insights, YouTube Insights, and Sprout Social.
- Experience creating and identifying quality social media content related to consumer brands is preferred.
- Experience developing and launching email and text messaging campaigns preferred.
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines and juggle several assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to distinguish and behave with decorum as a brand ambassador.
- Data, analytics, and metrics-oriented.
- Experience with content marketing and best practices.
- Constantly research and utilize social media tools as they become relevant to client objectives.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Teams) and major social media platforms.
Schedule
Full-time, hybrid/remote role with occasional travel to local sites (Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton area) for team meetings and collaborative sessions. Monday through Friday.
Pay
$65,000 - $70,000 annually.
