About the role

Trane in Wilkes-Barre, PA is hiring an Energy Services Sr. Project Manager. The Energy Services Sr. Project Manager is responsible for project financials, administration, implementation, management, and customer satisfaction for all assigned projects. They lead the project team through all facets of the project and serve as the established point of contact for stakeholders. The role manages a portfolio of projects that could include both smaller and larger multi-building or complex construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and developing communication plans with both internal and external stakeholders to provide timely project updates.
  • Lead all aspects of project administration, including responsibility for knowledge of and adherence to contract penalty clauses and/or liquidated damages, analyzing reporting to identify project deficiencies, providing guidance on corrective actions, managing projects to business compliance, project documentation, safety guidelines, and navigating governing agencies' requirements at the state, city, county, federal, and local levels.
  • Financially manage all aspects of projects, including cash flow, monthly forecasted cost/revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, applied cost, and overseeing preparation and communications for monthly backlog review with leaders.
  • Validate project scope, cost, and schedule by reviewing contract documents, holding internal meetings, establishing customer expectations, identifying risks, and developing mitigation plans.
  • Utilize properly qualified subcontractors, oversee the subcontractor RFQ process, award subcontracts, manage subcontractor execution, and collaborate with subcontractors to establish communication guidelines for project progress, project meetings, billing expectations, and project safety.
  • Create and maintain project schedules utilizing tasks, dependencies, and milestones.

Requirements

  • Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Project Management degree preferred.
  • 6-10+ years of professional project management experience.
  • Extensive financial analysis experience, including cost segregation, margin analysis, earned value management (EVM), or similar project-based financial methodologies.
  • Strong financial project management ability with enough technical or construction knowledge to manage scope, schedule, and risk.
  • Prior experience resolving collections and customer financial issues during project execution.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations, including but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

This is a safety-sensitive role that may require additional drug screening.

Schedule

Monday to Thursday: work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays: choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.

Pay

Annual base salary range: $89,585.00 - $143,700.00. This is a salaried position with incentive eligibility. The actual compensation will depend on factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
