About the role

Responsible for placing needed search work with commercial vendors, reviewing purchase agreements, tracking orders, opening new title orders, and reviewing when received to advance to a Title Examiner. Ensures that performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.W. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

Responsibilities

  • Review order files, identify and request documents needed
  • Track and manage documents including recorded documents, trailing documents due post close
  • Handle preparation of wires, prepare Closing Disclosures per directions, and recording of documents
  • Meet deadlines independently while ensuring client satisfaction
  • Verify liens, update lien releases/taxes, and other information as needed
  • Correspond with lenders, borrowers, and or individuals/entities as directed by Director or Title Examiners
  • Review owner/loan policies for accuracy and escrow letter requirements before distributing to clients
  • Organize and audit the files after closing for return of recorded documents, excess funds collected, follow-up for release documents
  • Prepare ALTA Settlement Statements in accordance with Client’s instructions and wire funds
  • Review, prepare recording fee calculations, and record courtesy documents packages from clients
  • Assist in resolution of issues related to orders, closings, funding, and any other category of work done in the commercial group with minimal assistance from department lead and/or management
  • Cross train with Team Lead to build relationships and skill sets that result in efficiencies for the department; serve as back-up as needed
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience in the Mortgage industry
  • Mortgage title experience preferred
  • Ramquest production system knowledge preferred
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Excel and Powerpoint
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Pay

Base pay for this role is between $23.08/hr and $31.73/hr, depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
