About the role
The Cell Therapy Account Specialist is responsible for representing Legend’s products and services to a defined customer base, generating and growing sales, and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets within the Boston, MA and broader New England region.
Responsibilities
- Drives multiple myeloma CAR-T brand choice amongst institution-based oncology customers.
- Develops a comprehensive understanding of Legend and competitor products in our therapeutic area, including in-depth knowledge of the complexities associated with the disease state.
- Navigates a complex account environment, understanding the needs and issues of various stakeholders at all levels within the account and triaging to appropriate internal stakeholders for support.
- Develops an understanding of the issues and opportunities unique to each geography.
- Provides insights to the cross-functional team on feedback from interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs), including account business trends and potential changes in the therapeutic landscape.
- Leverages intel and insights to develop and implement an account business plan to meet customer needs and achieve corporate goals.
- Works cooperatively with internal team members on various cross-functional projects related to specific accounts or physicians.
- May collaborate with outside partner companies to co-promote products or services.
- Assists in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities, communicating proactively to marketing and sales management.
- Prepares territory budget plans for customer contacts, unrestricted educational grants, speaker events, and other miscellaneous external expenditures.
- Represents Legend at national and/or local symposiums/conventions.
- Demonstrates initiative and willingness to work hands-on with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Demonstrates leadership among peers by consistently modeling appropriate compliance, behavior, and conduct.
- Performs all administrative functions required for the position, including reporting call activity and customer information into the appropriate call reporting system in a timely manner, and submitting expenses.
- Reports adverse events to Legend’s Drug Safety department and other internal departments as appropriate per required guidelines.
- Actively promotes the appropriate use of Legend’s products to healthcare professionals in accordance with Corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines.
- Ensures strict compliance with all regulatory agencies, state, and federal laws.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, and business ethics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 4 years of pharma/biotech sales experience in specialty, oncology, or rare disease.
- Proven and consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives, preferably in specialty markets.
- Experience managing and executing in large accounts, including strategic planning and problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Pay
The base pay range for this role is $168,372 USD - $220,988 USD. Other types of pay include performance-based bonus and/or equity for eligible roles.
