About the role
The University of Oklahoma seeks a Senior Capital Project Manager to lead capital improvement projects and major renovations. This role ensures projects meet University standards for quality, safety, budget, and schedule.
Responsibilities
- Represent the University during all phases of design, programming, and construction.
- Evaluate drawings, specifications, and project documentation for compliance with University standards.
- Manage capital projects through coordination and communication with various stakeholders.
- Translate project requirements into architectural and engineering design programs.
- Provide on-site construction administration, including participation in progress and special meetings.
- Maintain project budgets, review contractor submittals, and respond to project inquiries.
- Prepare progress reports and communicate project status to University leadership and external partners.
- Oversee construction procedures and conduct formal bid openings.
- Coordinate project activities with local, state, and federal agencies.
- Perform additional duties as needed to ensure successful project delivery and departmental goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 60 months of experience in commercial or institutional construction or architectural/engineering design.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Licensed Architect or Engineer preferred.
- 5 to 7 years relevant post-graduation experience in commercial/institutional construction administration.
- 5 to 7 years relevant post-graduation experience in architectural or engineering project management.
- Experience on major capital projects of $25 Million or higher preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam & PlanGrid.

Pay and Schedule
Targeted salary $125,000 annually, based on education & experience. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (may include some weekends).
