About the role

The Senior Business Development Manager will help Thompson Solutions Group (TSG) expand its presence in the Omaha market by building strong relationships and identifying opportunities that support long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with TSG's integrated services
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of strategic pursuits
  • Leverage existing relationships while developing new ones with owners, contractors, architects, engineers, developers, and economic development partners
  • Represent TSG within the Omaha construction community through industry and civic organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, NAIOP Nebraska, AGC, and related groups
  • Position TSG as a go-to partner for advanced and technology-integrated construction solutions
  • Collaborate closely with internal construction, service, and leadership teams to develop customized multi-trade solutions
  • Lead pursuit strategies, contribute to proposals, and clearly communicate TSG's value across business units
  • Support company leadership with strategic planning and growth initiatives
  • Partner with marketing to promote regional project success and strengthen brand visibility
  • Ensure smooth handoff from business development to project execution to support long-term client relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Senior-level business development experience within construction or integrated contracting services
  • Strong connections and credibility within the Omaha AEC and development community
  • Understanding of multi-trade construction services such as electrical, limited energy, technology integration, and MEP
  • Experience with delivery models like design-build, design-assist, or integrated project delivery
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to manage complex pursuits and client needs
  • Experience using CRM tools and business development systems
  • Involvement or leadership in local industry or civic organizations
  • Working knowledge of project delivery, estimating, and coordination challenges
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new systems
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for meetings and client engagement
