Sr. BI Data Analyst

About the Opportunity

The Sr. BI Data Analyst on the Medical Economics team plays a crucial role in delivering high-value analysis and reports that inform strategic decisions. This position involves independent collaboration with cross-functional teams to interpret business needs and develop analytical solutions that support both internal operations and payer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support market-level incentive payment distribution, including calculating and coordinating bonus distributions with relevant leadership and finance teams.
• Manage and maintain performance evaluations, reporting, and executive-level analyses for Value-Based Contracts.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and create scalable analytical solutions using structured and unstructured data.
• Partner with Data Engineering and Product teams to ensure data availability, address data quality issues through SQL queries, and implement data validation processes.
• Gather user feedback to align reporting tools with business needs and develop new reporting tools and ad hoc analyses.
• Collaborate independently across teams to advise on strategic decision-making and improve operational performance.
• Identify opportunities to enhance data products and reporting based on industry, regulatory, and technical trends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in analytics, business intelligence, finance, or related quantitative roles with project leadership.
• High proficiency in SQL with capability to write optimized queries for large datasets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience managing executive-level stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling; familiarity with version control systems and code deployment preferred.
• Preferred experience in healthcare analytics involving claims, EMR, or lab data.
• Experience with Python for analysis and reporting.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $81,000 to $95,000 base pay, excluding bonuses and benefits. Eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 15%. Base pay is determined based on experience, education, and geographic location.
