Responsibilities
- Perform complex audiovisual (AV) systems installations and integrations
- Conduct site surveys to evaluate project requirements and installation feasibility
- Fabricate and assemble AV equipment racks
- Load and configure control system code
- Commission, test, and troubleshoot AV systems to ensure full operational functionality
- Generate, update, and maintain technical documentation, including system drawings and As-Built documentation
- Develop and maintain strong technical relationships with vendors and manufacturers
- Lead and mentor a team of contract AV Technicians
- Configure and troubleshoot AV network equipment and control systems
- Support end users through training and operational guidance on newly installed AV systems
- Ensure installations comply with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (Must be able to pass a criminal background check and credit check)
- Minimum 5 years of experience working independently and collaboratively in team environments
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated critical reading and writing ability
- Minimum 5 years of experience fabricating and installing audiovisual systems
- Minimum 5 years of troubleshooting AV equipment, including: Projectors, Control devices, Switchers, Scalers, Wireless microphones, Lighting controllers, Touch recognition systems
- Minimum 5 years of troubleshooting integrated AV systems
- Minimum 5 years configuring AV network equipment
- Minimum 5 years troubleshooting control systems
- Minimum 5 years of experience reading and generating technical documentation, drawings, and blueprints, including CAD experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills with experience working in multicultural environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Technology, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology, Radio/Television, Communications, or related field
- AVIXA certifications such as: Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), CTS-Design (CTS-D), CTS-Installation (CTS-I)
- Manufacturer certifications such as: Biamp, ClearOne, Crestron, Cisco/Tandberg, Shure, AMX, Crestron, or Extron control system certifications
- Experience supporting government contracting environments
- Experience training end users on AV systems
- Troubleshooting and managing IP networks and video teleconference technologies
- Experience programming control systems using Crestron Studio
- Ability to support multiple computer operating systems
- Experience supporting: Windows environments, Streaming appliances, Storage servers, Video production server environments, Asset management systems, Remote control AV device management
Pay
Salary range starting at $70,000. The compensation range listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role.
