About the role
Supermicro is looking for a talented and passionate Sr. Application Engineer with in-depth knowledge of X86 server and networking solutions, especially switch products. You will provide technical support to enterprise customers and promote internal switch products to optimize networking solutions. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background in networking switch products and exceptional communication skills to interface with all levels of management.
Responsibilities
- Perform motherboard, system, and other server component validation testing
- Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress, and reliability testing
- Report hardware and software quality issues into bug tracking systems
- Document and analyze test data
- Maintain and improve validation test plans and test instructions
- Contribute to the development of test utilities and test script automation
- Support internal and external quality issues and drive issue resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Minimum of 8+ years of working experience in a hardware validation environment
- Strong knowledge of computer architecture
- Familiar with Linux, Windows, and networking
- Strong sense of teamwork and good team player with strong communication skills in both speaking and writing
Qualifications
Knowledge and experience of server performance benchmarks and tuning is a plus.
Pay
Salary range: $110,000 - $145,000. The salary offered will depend on factors including location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
