Key Accountabilities
- Specify, size, and select subsystem components for power systems designs according to Engineering Guidelines
- Test and validate top level power systems as well as sub-level power system components
- Contribute toward design of new product via product sizing and selection
- Review and verify product performance via testing
- Assess reliability performance of product versus requirement
- Post-process test data and develop engineering reports
Basic Requirements
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Automotive, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in testing mechanical and electrical systems, OR
- In lieu of a degree, at least 9 years’ experience in testing and validating power generation systems or combustion engines.
- Willingness to travel 10% domestically and internationally as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional understanding of internal combustion and diesel engine technology, including heat transfer and thermodynamic principles.
- Extensive experience in engine and system component testing to specified standards.
- Advanced knowledge with engine instrumentation, data acquisition systems, signal processing, and data management.
- Preferred experience with:
- Matlab
- Simulink
- NI Labview
- PLC Programming
- Networking (TCP, RS232, RS485, CANBus)
